Memorabilia can be a tricky word to define. Does it mean a autographed home run baseball from your childhood hero? Is it a collectible bat that was given out at the ball game? Does it mean those old ticket stubs that you keep from the first playoff game you went to? The answer to these questions and hundred more are YES! I believe that memorabilia is just what the root word suggests; it’s anything that is used to invoke fond memories of times gone by.
Memorable Moments, Memorable Athletes
Memorabilia collecting can take on hundreds of forms. Sports memorabilia can have almost as many. Some like to collect ticket stubs for major sporting events such as the World Series, Super Bowl, and All-Star Games. For others it is trying to find mementos for a specific game-changing play such as the “Immaculate Reception”, “The Catch”, or “The Shot Heard Around the World”. Of course, there are those that like to collect autographs. These autograph collections can range from Baseball Hall of Fame members to team signed footballs of your favorite team.
We at On the Ball Sports pride ourselves on being able to find those tough to find items to finish off your collection or get you started on another one. We may not have a large inventory of memorabilia on hand, but we have access to mountains of it…Just ask us for it!!
We try to always carry several autographed photos in stock as well as framed and matted unsigned photos. On the Ball Sports also carries autographed baseballs and Hall of Fame Plaques.
